Meet The Inventors

CoreStones™ were developed by two experienced massage therapists who were looking for a way to extend the life of their career, find a tool for self-care, and help other massage therapists save their hands while helping their clients. .

Dale Montelione Grust

Dale is a NY Licensed Massage Therapist (1983) who began her career in 1981 in Santa Fe, New Mexico where she studied at Dr. Scherer’s Academy of Massage and Natural Healing, now the Santa Fe School of Massage. Initially intrigued by human physiology, the healing arts, and alternative health care, Dale began a journey of exploration that continues to this day. Her pursuit of education has lead to diversified expertise in many modalities. She combines these modalities in her private practice and shares them with other therapists in the workshops that she teaches.

Dale has been a member of AMTA since 1989 and serves on the board of AMTA-NY Chapter as the Immediate Past President. She is a Nationally Certified Continuing Education Provider through the National Certification Board of Therapeutic Massage and Bodywork (NCBTMB), and offers a class in Stone Massage to other licensed massage therapists.

Jessica Jones

Jessica Jones, a 1990 graduate of the Virginia School of Massage, works at the Wintergreen Spa and in her private practice in Charlottesville, Virginia. Jessica was first drawn to massage therapy in 1978 while in Santa Fe, where she studied Reflexology and Foot Massage, leading to an interest in alternative healing practices that continues to this day.

A member of American Massage Therapy Association (AMTA) since 1989, Jessica is also Nationally Certified through the National Certification Board of Therapeutic Massage and Bodywork (NCBTMB). Jessica developed the first CoreStone to assist in her own healing from a serious 2004 leg injury. Unable to bend her leg, Jessica could not massage her lower leg and foot and designed a stone massage tool that allowed her to effectively use hot and cold therapy on the injured area.

Additionally, Jessica holds a B.S. in Interior Design from The University of Georgia, 1976.
